A New Home for Sarie

So, about 2 months ago my roommate sheepishly tells me that she's accepted a job offer in Idaho and starts the first week in April. Now, she'd never made a secret of the fact that she was looking for another position. She only ended up in Ogden in the first place because there was an opening (and I'm glad she accepted :), but she's really wanted to go back to her home state for some time. We've been roommates for a few years (so long that I've forgotten when we started being roomies) and are used to each other's weirdnesses. If you've been to my house, you know that I'm not one of those people who have everything neat and tidy all the time. And the philosophy with Alison and I was, "If you want to clean it, clean it." But if you don't no one will get bent out of shape. Needless to say, after countless cleaning-chart and cleaning freak roommates, I was terribly spoiled. I went from 5 roommates at Snow College to 3 at BYU to just 1 in our cozy apartment in South Ogden. I really hate to admit it, but I've become one of those people who a) don't want to share a room with anyone (unless he's exceptionally dreamy ;), and b) don't want to break it a new roommate and deal with someone else's drama. So, I'm going to be brave and try living on my own! And even more, I'm going to get a place of my own. How about this?
Seriously though, I'm going to start looking at some cute little humbly affordable places in my neighborhood (as I don't feel like it's time to move on and I simply LOVE my ward and neighborhood friends). It will cost nearly as much to live in my own apartment as buying a place, so that's the direction I'm heading. I'm a little nervous, but I'm ready for a change. And I'd love a place that's mine. I'll keep everyone posted about the process. But I am certainly excited to move, redecorate, and settle into someplace nice and homey :)

That only took 2 months to post! I am now IN my new place, a little 2 bedroom/1 bath condo. The process only took 1 month....apparently the fastest you can look at, put an offer in, be accepted on your offer, and get into a place of your own. It is certainly becoming Sarahville there. More pics to come, now that my blogger acct is behaving :)
